...Water Levels to Rise Again Along the Mississippi River...
River forecasts take into account both observed and forecast
precipitation.
The Flood Warning continues for
The Mississippi River at Lake City.
* from late Friday night until further notice...Or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At  4:15 AM Thursday the stage was 15.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Saturday morning and continue
to rise to near 17.4 feet by Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding occurs and some
residential sections near the river are evacuated. Water and Sewer
service is turned off along Central Point Road.

Do not drive cars into flooded areas. Remember, it only takes two
feet of water to float most automobiles, including sport utility
vehicles. Turn Around, Don`t Drown!

...Flooding possible along The Mississippi River at Lake City...
For the Mississippi River the following locations are included: Lake
City.
Forecast rainfall, combined with snowmelt and already moist soil
conditions, is expected to result in rising water levels. Should
this forecast rainfall materialize, flooding is possible in these
areas late this weekend into next week.
Mississippi River at Lake City...The stage this morning was 14.78
feet. Flood stage is 16.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise above
flood stage Sunday, and reach 16.80 feet Tuesday evening. This would
result in Minor flooding, with additional rises expected thereafter.
